Trap, Alternative/Conscious Rap, Boom-Bap, Melodic Rap, Gangster Rap. Contemporary R&B, Neo-Soul, Funk, and Soul.
Over 15+ Years of Experience.
We have recorded, mixed, mastered, and/or produced many songs in our 15+ year span–building a song from its beginning stages to enhance the artists’ performance, mixing it to bring out the highest quality, and mastering it to compete with today’s current standards.
As more artists and producers are tracking their own vocals and producing their own songs, most may find themselves not getting the quality they need to compete with other artists. Our audio mixing and mastering service is perfect for the DIY artists/producers that work from their home recording setup, and also for creatives that record at a professional studio but still lack quality sound.
Now conveniently offering mixing & mastering services globally, you now can experience world-class professionalism right from your computer.
Meet Bao Pham
RIAA-Certified Platinum Producer/Engineer.
I got my big break in 2007 when one of my beats was chosen for “Watch What You Say To Me” feat. Jay-Z on the T.I. vs T.I.P. album. That opened doors for me and found myself working with strong up-and-coming acts like Doe B (R.I.P.), Young Dolph, Moneybagg Yo, and many others. My studio, Mixology Recording Studios (now aptly titled Mixology Studios Online) became a center in Montgomery, Alabama. Nurturing hundreds of up-and-coming artists/producers, as well as working with notable Hip-Hop figures, helped me become one of the go-to Hip-Hop/Rap producer/engineers in the Southern region of the USA.

Mixology Studios Online:

I have worked on projects with Bao that included recording, mixing, mastering, and producing. I’ve witnessed first hand the sonic quality that he so carefully orchestrates…as his skill set was meant to be shared. Not only is Bao a great recording engineer, producer, entrepreneur, he is a great human being I’m happy to call “Friend.”

Working with Bao has taught me so much about little small things that can make my music way better, certain diction and different ways I can say something to change the impact. Bao has always made sure my vocals were crisp and on point, not to mention how fast he is at mixing and his production is sooo dope and unique and always brings the best out of me as an artist it’s def been worth the while working with him!

I been working with my boy Bao basically since like the beginning of my career he the goat fr the only engineer I ever seen mix a song as you record it…if you never recorded or had a song mixed by Bao I highly suggest you get at him ASAP!

The Equal Justice Initiative worked with Bao Pham during the production of two original film pieces about our work. Bao wrote and performed original piano compositions for both pieces. His music was intelligently composed and beautiful, and revealed that he clearly understood the emotions we hoped to evoke via the visual images and narration. When we had feedback to share, Bao responded with humility and genuine interest. He turned in his work well ahead of schedule, worked cooperatively with our staff and the film editors, offered affordable prices, and was professional throughout every stage of our project. We also worked with Bao in-studio to record and engineer vocal tracks for one of the films as well as a large audience concert. Bao was encouraging to our vocal talent, presented a warm and safe atmosphere for our team, and also found opportunities to pass along tips and explain various techniques. We were more than satisfied by the high-quality services and education Bao provided us and look forward to working with him again.

Bao is VERY professional and full of positive energy and knowledge. He is dedicated to his craft and will make sure your music is Grade A.

I’ve worked with Bao since Doe B’s Trap Life mixtape and he’s one of the best engineers I’ve worked with. I still use his ProTools template to start my sessions with and owe him my career. Sometimes I wish I produced some of the records he made.

Working with Bao in studio was amazing. I remember one time right after Doe B when I found out I was going to his engineers studio I went crazy, but the honest feedback that he gives you while working with him is mind blowing we used to record and the song sounded finished already from the rough recordings and he didn’t even mix it down yet. I’ve grew more of a big brother little brother bond with Bao. I still send my tracks to him to get mixed and mastered and he is and always will be my brother and the greatest engineer/producer ever!

Bao is the hardest working, most consistent, honest, professional, and talented engineer I have worked with to date. He definitely deserves more credit than what has been given. Undeniably the best in the Southeast.

Excellent engineer! Bao Pham doesn’t take away your song ideas, but only adds to what you envisioned of your track sounding like. He makes your vocals sound full and clean. I encourage every artist who needs great quality mixing/mastering to go through Mixology today!

Super quick and quality mixer. When I used Bao Pham to record and mix my current single “Guilty”, we finished the song so quick and efficiently there was still time in my session to knock out two more songs. This guy is good.

I have had the pleasure and blessing to work with Bao on multiple projects. Let me say that it has been the most fulfilling and professional experience. His creativity level is second to none. The way he embraces our projects and makes them his blows our minds every time. He is my only go to for all of Profetica Muzic’s projects. This man is heaven sent and I truly appreciate him not only as my engineer but as a great addition to my very small list of friends/ brothers. All he does for us is beyond measure.

Supreme sound is an understatement. Bao is unmatched and he obviously has no competition. Every move is both quick and efficient as it is able to be heard on his completed work. I have never met someone so professional, honest, and quick. Most artists are excited after recording, and for him to mix and master sounds the way he does on the same day is unheard of. It takes years of experience to conquer, which he has under his belt. His love for what he does also shows in his work. Expect nothing less or far from perfect. 10 out of 10 stars

I’ve been getting great quality of work from Bao since 2007. Very professional and business oriented. If he puts his hands on your project you pretty much can guarantee it’s going to be to the standard of the music industry.

Working with the Mix & Mastering services of Mixology Studios was great! At first I was weary of not being in the studio while the process was being done but I was not disappointed at all. Bao Pham gives every track the up most attention to detail! Giving me the in-studio feel without actually needing to be there! You can tell he takes pride in the work he does!
Frequently Asked Questions
We no longer record and mainly offer mixing and/or mastering services online only. This gives us a more concentrated focus on bringing out the best of your recording, as there is an abundance of studios that can record but are lacking in the finishing touch, which is in the mixing and mastering stage. We do believe a great sounding record starts with the recording process, so please choose wisely on where you record.
If you are new to this process, it can be a heavy task of finding the right online service to give you the best quality.
Working with us is simple:
- Once a detailed request form is filled out, we can assess what your needs are. Once established of where you are in your process, we will request you to send the session files to us for an estimated quote.
- We check for quality of recorded vocals, any issues that may need to be addressed or fixed, and then respond with a proposal to mix and master your song(s).
- Once payment is received, we begin the process of mixing and mastering. We send you the songs for final approval.
- If there are revisions needed, we work with you until finished, and send the final masters to you for distribution.
Please note that we NEVER mix/master any poor quality recordings, as no mixing/mastering engineer will be able to fix them. If there are problems such as distorted/poor quality recordings, we will inform you and most likely suggest to re-record, as the recording process is crucial to the success of a great sounding song. We are focused on the highest quality possible.
Bao Pham’s knowledge, history, and forte is Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B music. Although having mixed almost every genre (Pop/EDM/Traditional live Gospel/Rock/Folk/Blues/Contemporary Christian), Bao has made his mark in the aforementioned genres.
It’s important to stay current and up to date with today’s music. Bao is an avid fan of music and is able to see the direction of where the culture is going, fundamentally and sonically. It’s very important to have an engineer 1.) know and understand your genre, 2.) connect on an artistic level intuitively with your music, 3.) know what exactly needs to be done, 4.) be open to new ideas and the specifics of the client.
Most of Bao Pham’s clients seek his own brand of sound/taste on a record, but always keeps in mind the clients’ wishes. A good understanding of making the best sounding record is key, as the engineer is serving as a musical extension of the artist.
Although Bao Pham’s credits help him stand on my own, it’s his work ethic and consistent good business reputation that wins over new clients. Loyal clients keep coming back as they know and trust that their music will sound great. They know they are paying for top shelf quality and getting it.
Starting an internship with a premiere studio in Montgomery, Alabama in 2005 and eventually working up to lead engineer by summer of 2006, Bao Pham learned the engineering and business side simultaneously until opening up Mixology in April 2009.

PLEASE NOTE: we CANNOT mix an MP3 file of a song. You must get the session files from your engineer.
We will need either the ProTools session(s) or your raw files from the program that you recorded in (see next Question), and also a rough reference mix (mp3) of your song. The reference mix does not have to be perfect but just serves as a guide for us to go by. If there are any additional notes/specifics please send them as well.
We work very well with specific instructions, and also understand that if a specific effect that you want to be done does not work out as planned, we can also correct it with the additional revisions that are allowed per mixed/mastered song.
We Mix & Master everything in ProTools.
We prefer ProTools sessions, but also accept files from other DAWs such as Logic Pro, Studio One, Cakewalk Pro, Reason, Ableton Live, Cubase, and other similar recording software. If sending from other programs, you will need to track out each individual vocal and instruments separately (if any), from the beginning of the song so when loading into ProTools, the files will line up appropriately in their place. Also please take off any effects or plug-ins on the vocals, and make sure there is no distortion or clipping on any of the files. Sometimes you may have to pull the faders down to ensure they do not clip/distort. If sending a track-out beat separately from the files, that is totally acceptable, and preferred for best quality.
We have step-by-step guides on how to send us files once we know your program that you work on. Please fill out a quote request form and enter your details there, and we will send you instructions specific to your DAW.
Maybe the better question is: “How much will it cost me not to use a Mix or Mastering Engineer with a proven track record?”
Some online mixing and mastering services put prices on “packages” with no immediate proof of who is working on your record, let alone a cheap price point to entice artists that are new to the online service industry.
Every Mix & Client’s Song is unique and must be treated that way to get the results you need to be heard above all others competing for their own respective listening landscape.
Contact us by filling out our quote request form and we will let you know what it will cost to deliver you great results.
We accept all forms of payment via Paypal, Square Invoicing, Cash app, Venmo, and Stripe.
Upfront payment is required before starting any Mixing or Mastering. No refunds/exchanges when rendering mixing/mastering services.
